Today you will receive numerous emails for Black Friday and other emails wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving. Have you stopped to think about what you are truly thankful for? I have. Every year it might look different but the sentiment is the same:

Gratefulness!

I am thankful and grateful to have good health.

I am thankful and grateful to have my faith in Jesus as the bedrock of my life.

I am thankful and grateful for my family and friends.

I am thankful and grateful for my business and the clients that I get to serve.

I am thankful and grateful for my furry friends.

The list is endless but the most important thing is to remain in an attitude of gratitude not just today but throughout the year.

Keep IT Sunny~

Thanksgiving What Does It Mean To You?

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it involves my favorite thing which is eating good food. I like to gather with my family or sometimes fly solo and use it as a time to take in all my blessings and thank God for them. This holiday means many things to a variety of people but for me, it is a time to slow down, take stock and be in a state of gratitude. If you are struggling to find meaning in this holiday, consider using it as a time of personal reflection and refreshment to push you toward finishing strong this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Keep IT Sunny~

The Month of November Round Up & Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is Thanksgiving and a great time to slow down and take stock of what you are thankful for. I know many people will be celebrating with their friends & family but let’s also remember that some people will be alone so be sure to reach out to them. This time of the year is also a good time to slow down and count the many ways you are thankful to be a small business owner.

In the work world today many people had to pivot fast due to the pandemic and they jumped feet first into entrepreneurship. No matter how you arrived in the small business arena it is the best decision in the world to run your own company. I wrote a few posts this month to help you to stay focused on your goals and organized within your business. I hope you take some time to read them and apply the tips.

The life of a small business owner is hectic and fast paced with requirements to oftentimes wear many hats. We are all in this together. Take some time today to turn off the entrepreneur inside you and enjoy the festivities of the holiday and then get after it as soon as the business day starts next week.

Keep IT Sunny!

Happy Day Of Being Thankful!

Today is one of my favorite holidays of the year: Thanksgiving!

This year it looks different for sure and we have all experienced all the changes this year has thrown at us. We are united in our collective sigh that this year has caused us to have. As we take time to pause and enjoy this holiday with our families via Zoom or in-person think about what you are truly thankful for? There are many things we can focus on that will cause us to become grim and depressed BUT we get to choose what we focus on. If we take a moment to pause and reflect there will be many things we can list that we can be thankful for. Here are a few things that came to mind for me:

A warm and safe home

Good food to eat

The internet & technology

My business

My clients

A safe economical car to drive

Good health

My family & friends

My faith

The list could go on & on!

This year has been the year of collective rapid change and we have all been affected. Today is about pressing pause on this year and shifting the focus to all the good things that we can be thankful for in our lives.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Keep IT Sunny!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Today is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate. In the hustle and bustle of day to day living, we can forget to be thankful for what we already have. As you go out to shop in the black Friday madness and gather around the table with your family take a moment to remember the reason for the season. It is truly to be grateful that you are still alive filled with your gifts and talents to share with the world and surrounded by love. In all the madness it is good to take time to remember that.

Happy Thanksgiving and Keep It Sunny!

What Are You Thankful For Today?

Thanksgiving 2018.jpeg

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love all the food, festivities and time spent with friends & family. There is a lot of noise that comes much in the form of black Friday holiday shopping offers, holiday travel stress, meal prep or missing a love one that has passed on. And as business owners we have additional stress that can take place.

It’s Time To Give Thanks

It can be easy to get caught up in the hoopla of the season and not stop to really reflect on what you are thankful for today. I am thankful for my faith and connection to Jesus, my loving family & friends and for my business. Not to mention being in good health and just for having an overall attitude of positivity.

What About You?

What are you truly thankful for today? Forget the madness that this season can bring and take a quiet moment (I know that maybe hard with a house full of people:) but give it a try. I hope you discover the richness that fills your life with joy.

Happy Thanksgiving!

3 Reasons To Feel Thankful As You Build Your Business and The Lifestyle of Your Dreams

Thanksgiving photo.jpeg

Well, it's that time of year when we get together with our family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving. For some of us, it will mean going shopping for Black Friday doorbusters. And for others, it will mean watching football and grazing on all the Thanksgiving Day goodies. No matter what your family traditions are it is usually a signal to start taking stock of the year to see what you have accomplished. What if you haven't reached your business or personal goals?

Take a deep breath and read below to stay encouraged.

Reason Number One:

You are taking intentional steps toward realizing your dream work/lifestyle. You might feel discouraged because you haven't arrived at your destination but at least you are on the right path.

Reason Number Two:

You are using your gifts to change another person's life. This is HUGE! Your business is unique to your specific "gifting". And instead of continuing on the road that is much traveled you decided to be a maverick and use the gifts God gave specifically to you to be an agent of change.

Reason Number Three:

You are changing your family tree. Dave Ramsey from The Dave Ramsey Show a personal finance podcast, often mentions how going on the journey to live debt free will change your family tree for the better. The same analogy can be said when you go out on your own and start your own business. You are setting a trend in your family (maybe for the first time) to create financial security by starting and running a successful business. And if you are a women entrepreneur you are really changing your family-tree by starting your own business according to an article on Fortune.com. "Researchers found that almost 90% of women entrepreneurs expected their companies’ gross profits to increase or remain stable in the next year. More specifically, 61% expected profits to rise, compared to an average of 58% among all entrepreneurs".

It is easy to get down on yourself if you're not exactly where you want to be in your business or living the dream lifestyle you desire. The holidays can bring out the "comparison gremlins" to make you feel lousy. Don't buy into that trap. Take stock of your goals and keep taking one small step forward towards your destiny. I am here to help you reach those goals. If you need to delegate some items off of your to-do list take some time to jot down what things you are doing that are keeping you from focusing on your gifts and email me.

Happy Thanksgiving & As Always Keep It Sunny!
